Regional State Arts Agencies and Organizations
Massachusetts Art Education Association (MAEA)
Navigate to MAEAMAEA is an affiliate of the NAEA. Membership is concurrent. The mission of MAEA is to represent, inform and support art educators, and to promote art education throughout Massachusetts. MAEA sponsors meetings, exhibits and workshops. The Boston Globe Scholastic Arts Competition is facilitated through this organization. All PPS visual arts teachers are encouraged to participate in exhibits, scholarships, workshops, conferences and symposiums to enhance their professional development and career opportunities.
Massachusetts Arts Education Collaborative (MAEC)
Navigate to MAECMAEC educates about, advocates for and supports the importance of lifelong learning in and through the arts by building and creating a network among individuals, organizations and institutions in Massachusetts. MAEC is a statewide action committee housed in the National Arts Learning Collaborative, a member of a national coalition of state alliance organizations operating in partnership with the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network to support policies, practices, and partnerships that ensure the arts are woven into American education.

Educational Theatre Association (EdTA)
